Carpet Cleaning Brent operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour in all their forms. We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including employees, contractors, agency staff and all suppliers. Any actual or suspected breach of this policy is treated with the utmost seriousness and may result in termination of contracts, reporting to relevant authorities and other appropriate measures.

All members of our team are made aware that they have a responsibility to uphold this policy and to remain alert to the risks of modern slavery in the business and wider supply chain. Management at all levels are responsible for ensuring those reporting to them understand and comply with this policy.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Carpet Cleaning Brent provides professional carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services. Our supply chains primarily include cleaning product manufacturers and distributors, equipment suppliers, vehicle and fuel providers, uniform suppliers and external service providers such as maintenance, training and waste management.

We recognise that some sectors and regions carry higher risks of labour exploitation. We therefore apply a risk-based approach to assessing suppliers, with enhanced due diligence for suppliers operating in higher-risk industries or geographies, or where lower-skilled, temporary or migrant labour is commonly used.

Supplier Due Diligence and Audits

We are committed to working only with suppliers who share our values and who can demonstrate responsible labour practices. As part of our supplier onboarding and ongoing management processes, we:

Require suppliers to confirm compliance with all applicable labour, employment and human rights laws, including prohibitions on forced and child labour.

Request information on their own modern slavery policies, risk assessments and training where appropriate.

Reserve the right to conduct audits, inspections or reviews, either directly or through third parties, to verify compliance with our expectations.

Where potential risks or non-compliance are identified, we will work with the supplier to develop and implement corrective action plans with clear timelines. If concerns are not resolved to our satisfaction, we may suspend or terminate the business relationship.

Annual Review and Approval

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least annually to ensure it reflects our current structure, operations, supply chains and risk understanding. The review considers any incidents reported, audit findings, changes in legislation and emerging best practice.

This statement has been approved by the management of Carpet Cleaning Brent, who are responsible for its implementation and oversight. It applies to the current financial year and will be updated and republished on an annual basis to reflect our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business.
